Is everyone staying somewhat active?

Thoughout my own treatments, I found it was important to stay active in a daily routine and make sure my body was helping to rid itself of the chemotoxins I was being treated with. Activity will not only help in this process but also has been shown to help assist in staying positive, maintain/improve quality of life, maintain/improve ability to focus.

Keep up on your water too! It will also help with the toxin flush and assist with an easier IV infusion. If the vessels stay plump, they're esier to prick.

I wish you well in your journey no matter what point you're at. Big Hug!

" Don't I wish I could have done this! ABVD made me so miserably sick and tired. I was the queen of side effects. Then others just breeze through it. I was so active before chemo. I was in great shape - had been doing Tae Bo for four years prior. Now I'm starting over from square one with exercise. I finished ABVD nine weeks ago, and I'm thrilled to be getting back into shape! All my best to all my fellow Hodge warriors out there! "

" JDoll,

I'm glad to hear you're feeling well. I suggest to start with brisk walking. Add low weight resistance training as you are feeling up to it. Please remember to start small. Believe me you'll feel pretty good just getting back into a routine. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific training questions.

PS Stay away from any heavy aerobics especially if you recently finished radiotherapy. It could be too much too soon. "
