Hodgkin's Lymphoma Support Group

Well, I'm back and needing some encouragement this time, my daughter fought hodgkins feb 2008 till sept 2008, then in feb 2009 they found throid cancer, very commom after the radiation part of treatment for hodgkins..she came to visit and almost died on her flight, rushed into the medical system back in canada(she is now married and lives in san francisco) she had a huge blood clot, a huge mass sitting on her lung and fluid on the heart, they rushed her into surgery, put a cardio window to relieve the fluid on the heart and did alot of biopsys, stablized her and we rushed her back to california to her oncologist...well, now we are dealing with stage 4 hodgkins, 4 x 4 inch mass on her right lung, pressing on her heart, tons of nodes, her adrenal gland has hodgkins and now her pancreas and spleen are showing issues but not hodkins, they have to investigate that. She is now on her second round of chemo, this time she has to be in the hospital and they are three days long, very intense, very hard on her system and has to be monitored. She finally said okay for me, mom, to come down sunday when she gets out, to monitor her and make sure she doesn';t do too much like between one and two, that landed her back in the hospital, she has been in the hospital almost all but 6 days since Aug 15. I want others to know, when your through chemo and radiation, please,please keep a close check on you or your loved on, hodgkins loves to return and cause terrible havoc, l guess when its easy to produce cancer cells, they love to come back..I pray all of you going through chemo or if its your family or friends. please make sure you make them be proactive and not reactive. Now with stage 4, I am terrified and live day to day worried and stressed. God bless you all
