I was told today by my surgeon that I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I am 26 years old and have been experiencing pain in my shoulders, chest and back for 2 months.

I have been prescribed 10 mg Norco for the last month, but tomorrow I got for my first appointment sice determining that I have Cancer. I would like to know what type of medication people have been prescribed so I know I'm getting proper treatment from my doctors.

Thanks, and any support would be appreciated.

" My son was diagnosed with hodgkins 2A. The only medication that was prescribed for him was antinausea meds. He had and still has no pain anywhere so he didn't need anyting for pain. "

" They prescribed me with 5mg oxycodone to be taken every 4 hours as needed for shoulder pain. I am being told however that I shouldn't be experiencing this pain and I am waiting for the results on a chest x-ray. If you are feeling pain, they should be giving you something. Plain and simple. Don't let them tell you that you aren't experiencing symptoms. They did that before with me. My doctor assumed that my breathing and eating problems were from depression, and refused to give me any bloodwork until I got a second opinion. I later ended up checking into the hospital with breathing problems only to discover a huge mass inside my chest that was pushing on my airway. I am lucky to be alive. If you feel that your concerns are falling on deaf ears, get another doctor. "
