" Hello, I'm a senior in High School (if I can make it, anyone can)
last year, I had the same problems
except they were probably worse, relative to what you typed here
I had severe panic attacks and meltdowns almost everyday after school...and sometimes I even had panic attacks IN school
I felt so much pressure because I missed a full semester of High School so I thought colleges would never let me in if I didn't have straight A's...etc., which is stupid..but that's what I thought
here's what I did to stop it: not an easy process, takes work and time
for me, maybe you too, my school work was the outlet I projected EVERYTHING that was stressing me out...if I felt bad, I blamed school even though that wasn't the thing making me feel horrible
this sounds so trivial..but once your brain believes it..truly believes it (fake it till you make it) it will work...
know that this doesn't matter...school, think about it, in the long run doesn't matter...your parents/adults (unless they're strange, pitiful creatures) don't ever talk about what grades they got in high school or what score they got on the SAT...it DOES not matter, it doesn't determine your worth, your happiness, your acceptance
YOU are in control of your joy, not school
think positivley, don't stress...I was such a perfectionist..I still am, but I've been finding it easier to say...well, I have this this and this to do today, but I'm really sick so I'm only going to do the most important one...I make sure to take care of myself first
sounds selfish..but self-worth, self-esteem is number 1, even to school, school should take a backseat to your physical AND your emotional well-being, so let it go...meditate, do yoga, exercise, read...whatever's best for you to escape...do it, then do all the word you can (or is plausable to do) then stop, don't think any more of it, don't obsess over it
it gets frightening...(an understatement) thinking about our futures and how what and how we act in school will determine it
but whatever you do, whatever happens...you will be OK...somewhere in your heart you know that...Whatever happens is supposed to happen...whether to teach you lessons or make you stronger.
Don't expect perfection...perfection is impossible,
the obsess about doing everything and getting it perfect, the less you get things done...so just do it, forget about it, and go have fun
this is life...remember that..it is short (corny i know)...we only have so much time before we die, and I guarantee you will regret feeling so much stress over such frivolous matters, I know I do, but again, regret is to be left in the past...we only move forward, take it one step at a time, one homework page at a time (with plenty of music and dancing brakes in between if you get stressed), and you will be fine. Its almost over!! trust me its worth it!

Lucy "

" hippy is right! listen to her.

What ended up happening to me was burning out. I got depressed. So do not go perfect...go with the flow! Do your work and stop worrying. You are wasting time worrying when u can take the situation objectively and clean house baby! i believe you!

(weird reply huh?) "

" Hello, Last year, in my junior year of high school, it was just like what you explained. I was so stressed with all of the ridiculous amounts of homework and school didn't even end until 3:10pm. By the time I finally got home I was needing a break from school, But it wasn't possible. I would work all day in school, then when I got home i would eat, and start on all my homework and didn't stop until late at night(or morning). After the first semester I realized that I needed to stop being such a perfectionist and stressing myself so much. Do what's most important but if you feel like your going to have a breakdown or your so tiered you can hardly focus, then give it a rest. Hippylu really said it all. Take breaks and try not to focus your thoughts on it if there is nothing else that you can physically do.(if your burnt out). In the long run, the only thing that counts is if you do your best,BUT doing your best doesn't always mean it's perfect. It simply means to do the best that you are CURRENTLY capable of.(like if your too tiered, emotion, stressed, or you are giving yourself a headache, than don't keep studying because you won't remeber it in the morning, especially if you don't get good sleep). When you are an adult, the grades you got in school won't matter much... just do what you can do, but don't let it damper your spirit or make you deppressed. Make sure you leave time for fun. Hope this helped! "
