I'm kinda freaking out right now.
Okay, here's a little background info: My school year ended earlier than usual (May 22nd this year, June 6 usually). This messed up our schedule, and ended cramming our state standardized testing and exams ONE WEEK apart. I was in trouble because I was absent for a week beforehand. I was in the hospital and asked my teachers to send me work. They didn't, and gave the excuse that they didn't want to stress me out, this wasn't important. I appreciated it, but the problem is, is that when I came back the crammed us with homework, and I ended up with another week to make-up on top of it. The schedule for me went a little like this: week in hospital-week of review/makeup work-state tests-exams I worked my butt off to get caught up, because I had really started slacking, pre-hospital, and was trying to get back on track. My issue is that my History teacher gave me my make-up work, I did it, and turned it in the next day. He told me I was fine, all caught up. So, these three weeks passed, and we have"weekly reports" on our school website. I just checked mine for his class. It says I have a D. What. The. Heck. Now, I care ALOT about my grades. ALOT. Lately, I've been feeling out of control, and this is one thing I could control. And I don't know how this happened. Obviously, we're out of school, so there's no way I can talk to him/get caught up, or I would. Posted on 05/25/12, 10:07 pm |

Take a breath. Are there any administrators at the school offices you can talk to? Most high schools have summer school sessions, so there should be staff there at some point. Do you have an email address for your guidance counselor? Maybe you could try getting in touch with them to figure out what's going on.
In the big scheme of things, one D won't ruin your life, believe me. Yes, it sucks because you care about your grades, but trust me you will still be a successful person and you will still get into college. Try your best to contact the school, but don't let this ruin your summer.
