Have been taking Lipitor for 8 years now. Recently my dosage was increased to 40mg. For the past couple of weeks now, I've been experiencing neck pain (soreness) on both sides of my neck running down to my shoulder. Also have pain in both elbows and a feeling of fuzziness in my head. Anyone else had symptoms like this?

" Anytime there is an increase in dosage of a medicine or a new medicine is given and you start experiencing something different than before......call you doctor as soon as possible and tell him. It could be serious and unless he knows what you are experiencing he can't help you. Each person's body reacts differently to medicines and even if someone has the same symptoms as you and they take the same medicine as you, does not mean the causes are the same. I was always told by my MD to call if anything is out of wack. "

" I got real bad side effects from it, they came on slow, first one thing then another, took a long time to put it all together. I ask the doctor if it could be Liptore,? he didn't think so. But Ended up went off Lipitor and everything cleared up and was normal. Never take that one again. "

" Side effects from statins are limited to wherever your body has muscles, nerves, tendons and joints. "
