hi has i cant take simvastatin, my doc has put me on ezetrol . he says its a mild cholesteral drug . i was quite happy with statins has my chol came down from 8.9 to 5,7 in matter of weeks but very bad pains in my legs , would like to know if anyone is on this drug , sam

" Ezetrol is the same thing as zetia. It works by inhibiting your digestive track from absorbing cholesterol. While it does lower cholesterol, at this time there is no proof that it will prevent a heart attack or stroke. "
