I was having a lot of muscle pain, so the doctor took me off lipitor and started zocor 20mg. I have only been on it for 5 days and was wondering if it causes nausea. I am type 2 diabetic and also have been having some sinus trouble. If zocor causes nausea, will it go away when my body adjusts?

" Sorry to tell ya this, I took both Lipitor and Zocor, had muscle pains with both. If Zocor is causing nausea, I would contact your doctor.. Five days of nausea is too much.

" i've been on zocor twice and got tremendous muscle pain both times. the first time i had trouble walking, but i am..or was, an active runner. i've heard that the muscle pain is relative to how active you are. either way, i've switched to Crestor now and have had much less trouble...additionally crestor is more potent. " I have only taken Symvastatin for 4 weeks now and am noticing joint achyness only. I don't have any other experience with it so far. "
