Pulse low on Metroprolol

Hi, I've been taking Metroprolol for about 2 months now and lately i've noticed my pulse can be low at times (around 60). It makes me worried that my pulse is going to go too low. I get scared to take my dose at night and scared to sleep. Before I started taking Metroprolol my pulse was usually around 100. The main reason i'm taking it is for high blood pressure though. I'm taking 50mg 2x a day. Has anyone had this type of experience with Metroprolol? Thanks
