When did the ringing start? What meds are you taking?

I've had high BP for a long time and I'm 44. High Blood as well as some meds could cause ringing in your ears. However there are other medical condition that can cause ringing in your ear.

My ear started ringing and one day it started and didn't stop. I ended up with a quick onset of severe hearing loss. Through this I found out that I have 2 conditions 1 a rare brain condition called Arnold Chiari Malformation and they other Meniere's Disease.

I wouldn't just asume that it's the BP.

i have a simalar problem since being treated for bp i get whooshing noises in my ears but its not all the time. i am on ramapril, propranalol, a water tab and someother tab ...cant remember the name. the doc has looked in my ears and said he cant see anything, so diagnosed tinnutus!!!! sometimes my ears feel blocked its wierd how it is intermittant.

Totally agree, it's very frustrating,i have the hope that maybe one day it will stop.Do somebody believe that there will be a cure for hbp?
My doc said that the best way to cure hbp is dieting and exercise. I try this and not so much results.
