It sounds like an inner ear dysfunction it can be a number of things. Start with TMJ. You may be grinding your teeth while sleep. That can make you feel like waking up with (muffled ears)And dizziness. The swaying feeling is a sign of BPPV you may have to sleep sitting upright for a couple of days because the crystals in your ear is floating around.
I have BPV and TMJ and I have been experiencing these symptoms for a long time now. If your in a environment where the seasons are changing, allergies can be a culprit too. When you go to bed make sure your not congested. Bottom line look into BPPV and TMJ. Your symptoms is what i know to well! Good luck =)

vonny,, when your at rest,,and you get up the legs pull the blood to them..this is called postural hypotension,,only lasts for seconds...but if you bend over it may happen to..this happens when the systolic pressure drops...if it drops more than 20 points you may faint..so always try to get up slow..ive gotten up and had to sit back down and re get up..these bp meds will cause this..the most ones to cause it are ace inhibitors
