Just interested to hear from others who have switched BP meds and why.

I took Felodipine for a number of years, with little side effects, but when my GP confessed that it was the likely cause of swollen ankles and legs, I switched to Lisinopril. At first I had a slight tickle in my windpipe that made me cough occasionally but recently the tickle has become more intense and uncomfortable and the coughing more vigorous, giving me problems suddenly at any time of day or night (causing disturbed sleep). So, todayhe has prescribed Candesartan Cilexetil (Atacand).

It would be good to read others' stories of changing meds and why.
