" I've used Lisinopril and it worked well. Now, I'm on Captopril and it also works well. My BP was very high but the meds work perfectly. No side effects. Easiest disease I've ever managed.

" I take Lisinopril along with Toprol and HCTZ. It is working. It is an ace inhibitor which they use in diabetic patients to protect their kidneys from kidney disease or to stop its progress. "

" I've been on Lisinopril for about 3 years long with Nifipine, and Chlortalidone. Used to be on Labetalol along with these but my blood pressure isn't controlled easily...it's like a roller coaster. It's been 238/138 before. "

" I've been on it for a couple of months. Changed from Ziac (which did nothing) to Lisinopril after I had to have a stent put in - average BP went from 140/100 to 115/70. A little problem with coughing, but not enough to warrant changing. The biggest thing that has helped me is tracking my diet, exercising and taking my meds. "

" I am taking lisinopril right now have been since October of 2006 when I had my stroke. I am taking 20 mg. I have recently taken clonidine after I was taken off norvasc. After the norvasc and the clonidine .01 mg tab had to stong of an effect on me just like the norvasc I was told to take 40 mg of lisinopril instead of the 20. All the meds have bad side effects from constant dizzyness, memory deficiencies, fatigue, sleepiness, etc. I am afraid to do anything at this point. My BP has been on a roller coaster up and down. From a high of 161/110 down to 90/60. I'm afraid of what my monitor is going to read right now so I won't see. I'm afraid to get depressed. Aslong as I don't I manage to keep a good attitude. I'm scheduled to see the nurse again Aug 8 on Friday. I guess I'll startwith the 40 mg right now. I don't know. I guess I'll take a look tonight at my BP and decide from that if I should continue on with my 20 mg or move up to 40 mg depending if it's lower or higher. Lately though I am afraid that if it doesn't stay down, I could have another stroke and this time I might not be so lucky with my health. I guess you could say that I am hoping for the best but I've got to be ready to die. That should calm me down a bit. I mean if I am going to die. Then why worry so much que no? Write to me as I am very much interested in all your views regarding BP.-strokesantafe@yahoocom "

" I've been taking Lisinopril for a month, My BP was 148/98 and now is 118/68. I worry about it getting too low. I do feel tired all the time but also was diagnosed with diabetes the same time I was diagnosed with HBP so I don't know which is making me tired. "

" I have been on Lisinopril for around 3 years now, starting with 2.5mg and recently increased to 5 mg. It does seem to have brought my blood pressure down to normal levels, which have been 190/110. Although my blood pressure does fluctuate a lot. Maybe because of the lower dose I haven't experienced tiredness, and do actually feel better, more relazed less edgy, which may be an effect of the lisinopril. "
