Since being put onto extra meds for anxiety, my b/p has gone up considerably. I used to have low blood pressure problems but now the opposite. My doc is going to check it in another 2 weeks, and said if it is still high she will put me on meds. This is all new to me but I feel lousy with it, mostly from mid afternoon onwards. Seem to feel ok in the mornings. I don't really know how to describe it, but it is scaring me. I guess I just don't know a lot about it. Any help would be appreciated. I take meds for depression, thyroid, anxiety, aspirin. I have already had one very tiny stroke and am scared of another.

" Are you weaning yourself off of cigarettes? I would do that, also. I know the stress doesn't help but, nicotine causes strokes, heart attacks and high bp. "
