Advice:
Potassium???

Just started taking a water pill. BP is down which is great. Had a leg cramp the other night, it really hurt. I probably need to be on potassium at this point but I really don't want to take a supplement. Here is my problem with that - the pills are huge. I have a hard time swallowing them. I could buy a bottle, but the first time I get choked on one and gag or worse yet throw up I will never touch them again.

Can I get enough potassium from eating different foods high in potassium? I googled and found a lot of different foods that have potassium but I just don't know how much of them I would have to eat in order to get enough. I can do banannas but day after day that could and would get boring.

Thanks in advance for your advice/suggestions.

" Thanks James. I love potatoes - with sour cream and butter right - lol. I like yogurt as well.

So what is the recommended dose you need daily? I think the pills my mom use to take were 500 mg.

I will go have blood work done as soon as I can afford it. My numbers weren't real bad, it was running about 160/90 - 95. I took it day before yesterday and it was 125/77.

My doc is really sweet and knows we don't have insurance right now so she tries to give me scripts that I can get from wallyworld for 4 bucks.

Thank you again for your reply. "
