" I've been taking this med for over 5 years now, dose increasing over years from 2.5 mg daily to 10 mg currently, and no side effects to date. What dosage are you taking? Although it is supposed to be a slow release medication, my doctor suggested splitting dose into 5 mg twice daily, which seems to control my bp better. "

" I was on it in December. Had side effects. Blood pressure went up and down. I think it was anxiety to some extent. Tried Atenolol. Hated it. Went back on lisinopril 1 1/2 months ago. Doc told me not to test. I didn't. BP went down ( checked his office 2 weeks ago and now a few checks of my own. Side effects aren't bad. Seem to lessen over time. Mom and dad both take it. So does a friend. Hang in there and try to relax. I've been doing yoga for the last month and a half also. "
