I am 30, I have high blood pressure and I can't take beta blockers due to severe increase in depression. So if I take Verapamil (sp), will I gain weight? I'm the type of person that gets depressed and/or gains weight if there is that side effect. I will not risk it, noooo way.

Thanks!
Elizabeth

" I don't really eat right nor maintain any level of exercise. I hate them both, despise..rrrr. I know that's pretty bad. I just have near zero willpower for most things.
I started the medicine 2 days ago, so I'll just see how it goes!

" A lot of water? Do you think lasix might counteract that side effect? I have lasix and just take it when I feel I have too much water in my system. "

" Unfortunately I have the world's worst memory and so far I haven't gotten the hang out blood pressure numbers yet. They don't mean much to me. Let me try to think...
I'm going to give it a guess here...
Ranging from 130 to 160 top number and between 90 and 105 for the bottom number. I hope that I'm even accurate when telling you bc I really forget. Plus my heart rate is high, resting its around 110...and I'm 31 and have a little leak in my heart valve that makes them want to drop the pressure on it. "
