Tea Tree Oil

Has anyone tried this? I used to use it before I was (Officially Diagnosed) because I just thought it was acne on my groin area. I would just use cotton ball and some of the tea tree oil and it would feel better (minus the smell of it, which I can't stand) and would to me, help it go away quicker. The only time I ever had one "ooze" was if I tried to pop it, but again, remember I thought it was acne and for sure, that stuff just needed to come out, but come to find out, it just spread the infection under my skin. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had tried.

Yes, when I was new to HS, my first treatment option was tea tree oil. It worked fine for a few weeks, then it started making the lesions angry and itchy so I scrapped that. Good luck with that. Maybe it will work for you.

I tried tea tree oil once on groin cysts/boils. It burned and stung and the area turned red, so I stopped after one try.
I prefer to apply warm compress followed by cotton ball full of CASTOR OIL to make boils soften and drain.
