Hi
I need some advice, I do suffer with heartburn/acid but my main problem is the feeling of the bulk of the hernia. Its getting so bad that even bending to pick something up even non heavy things or kneeling to clean floor etc will push the hernia up and then for days I have this bulk high in my stomach which feels awful and can somethimes make it hard to breath. Even wearing certain clothes makes it worse and Im not talking about belts or overly tight clothes!! Its happening so often now and sometimes for no reason. Does anyone else have this as their worst symptom, the acid I can handle but this over the years is really getting me down. I had the same problem with my hernia, so no, you're not the only one. My advice would be to talk to your dr about this feeling and possible treatment options. I ended up having surgery to repair my hernia and now do not have that feeling anymore but have other symptoms so I am not necessarily advocating one way or the other., just something to think about.

kelly i thought that acid reflux and severe heartburn was the worse of it....i had the nissen...but i was cut majorly and my stomach was cut and sown all the way around...and now I deal with consent gas and digestive problems...when it comes to surgery. talk to alot of drs and people who have had it done...at this point I am not sure which is worse...before or now....
meds and changing your diet...if that helps consider that route before surgery....good luck...
