I've recently been diagnosed with a bunch of stomach problems, hiatal hernia being one of them, and don't know what symptoms are what. What symptoms go with a hiatal hernia and does anyone know what causes it?

" Chest pain under the breast bone, regurgitation, acid, shortness of breathe, anxiety, panic attacks, it all depends on what extent your hernia is and what type it is. "

" acid reflux was the worse for me and the chest pains...you have shortness of breath...as the hiatal pushes into the diaphram. you have anxiety with that..you may have other stomach issues like gas...
sleep with your bed elevated, dont eat late..eat smaller meals...figure out the foods or drinks that trigger you and avoid the foods...good luck "

" Hello...
Actually..there are a lot of reasons what causes hiaital hernia. I was gaining weight ; I also was under a lot of stresses at my old job few years ago. Now I am living without taking any medication learning how to watch what I eat, what bothers my stomach, and exercise. Eat slower and eat more healthy. By the time you take the time to understand your body, you'd be able to recongize what food bothers you and you'd recgonize faster you are getting full.
My symptoms were...chest pains, short breath, acid reflux flairing up, and I would vomit after I eat. "

" I have come to the conclusion that a very stressful time in my life (unusual for me to have stress) was the cause of the H hernia. Symptoms started after several weeks of real stress. "
