Hello, i'm new to this group and looking for some help.

For the last 6 months my Gp has been treating me for a hiatus hernia.
my mother, auntie & cousin all have them and i definitely have all the same symptoms as them, eg pain just below my ribs in the middle, pains in my chest, sensation of something stuck in my throat and pain when lying down & bending over, and food coming back up also when bending over .
So today i finely had an endoscopy, the outcome was there is no hernia to be found! or anything out of the norm, so why have i got all the symptoms? , if anyone could can think of a reason i would be most grateful to here from you.
