scared of surgery

my girl has a hiatal hernia. i worry about her alot because shes hurting more frequently everyday and i try to convince her to have surgery so that she hopefully wont be hurting and her stomach be better but shes scared and she refuses it.. and im really inlove with her i want to marry her. and i want to start a family with her but im scared that if i ever got her pregnant that because of her hernia the pregnancy could seriously hurt her or kill her and the baby .. what should i do

you could look up info on the computer and print it for her....try to get to a drs and get an opinion...they can be serious if not dealt with....they can grow...they can pull your stomach up into the diaphram and can become strangulated which will need emergency surgery....if she is having more problems she should at least have her primary order an endoscopy to be done to see what is going on...good luck...
