Looking for advice and support with coping with hiatus hernia symptoms. Especially the severe, at times, chest pain, which can be constant. Complicated by the fact that I had a heart attack in April this year and a couple of scares since then. Also diabetic and suffer from anxiety problems. Medical advice is it's the hernia, keep taking the drugs and live with it, not so easy. No interest in any op. as it is considered too serious an operation and with my other problems, no chance. Seems to be very little support here. So any advice would be appreciasted

HI. I know the pain you get, I suffer too, had heartburn the other night, horrid. I had my gallbladder removed with large stone in April this year, thought it might stop the reflux of acid But it has'nt. I take an anti acid pill each morning, which helps. When I am anxious it make the stomach churn up more. i am going to try Aloe vera gell, see if it helps, try anything to rid the pain. Also I try not to eat fried food or cakes and biscuits, which for me is hard.
Anyway I can'nt give you much advice but can say I am here to chat with. love Ann
