I am glad you are trying to stop. Have you ever gone to a detox center or rehab? They can make you more comfortable. I am sure it is really hard to do on your own. But if you don't stop you have no future. My son is 25 and heroin has kept him from finishing his education, cost him his job, his apartment, and landed him in jail for stealing. It is heartbreaking (he is currently in a rehab for a year). Now is the time to stop so you can have a great life. This drug will only bring you down. I wish he would have listened before he did so much damage to his life. But I have faith it will get better. I will keep you in my prayers you need to do this for yourself.

best advice i got and helped me the most is,fill you tub with hot water and soak in there as long as you can you will feel no wd....

you don't have to wait 2 days to take the sub.
you take it 24 hours after your last use. You don't still have withdrawls for two weeks either. That is just that fact that your not done using if you going off od it, and using agin.

What dose are you on. I know how the game is played, just don't take it for 24 hours, and then we can get high again. I do know that once it's taken you might not feel all that great stilll, but it stops the withdrawls.

You have to want this more than you want to use. This med does not work unless your ready

You're in a good position! Alls you need to do now is get a couple subs and taper down, don't use it more than a week and you won't have wds. Heroin will kill you. The best thing to do is fill your schedule so you don't just sit around thinking about how shitty you feel, or that you want to get high. I wish you luck, I'm struggling with the same battle right now but just with suboxone, been on it for almost 2 years, and w/ds are tearing me apart. Did you taper off the subs or go cold turkey off of them?

I wish you the best! I understand completely. I contracted liver before disease from using, So maybe you could think about what effects could come from long term use...

hey im in the same boat. im trying to stop right now todays my firstday not using for a while nd i know im gonna feel like shit. im not taking suboxone this time but i kno i can do it. i have before. nd for a little advise, if you do take the suboxone keep using it as long as you need too. part of the reason i used that last time was cuz i knew if as long as i took one, i couldnt get high if i wanted too. Other than the actual pysical aches its all mental. you can do it

Hope you succeeed. I know from past experience it is very hard unless you really want to quit & go to rehab or couseling, NA meetings. I know someone who tries to get clean, but usually only lasts a few days, because they do not go for support & use the correct tools.
I will pray for your strength as I do for all with addictions.

I'm not going 2 sugar cote any of this ( my spelling is bad sorry)
my son was in inpatient rehab they only gave him suboxin for 3 days
at 3 smaller doses each days( then they gave him in outpatient which was 2 large doses each day) when they stopped they said that its just for the physical side effects of withdrawal the mental ones he'd have to work through he check him self out after 5 days thinks he can do it on his own its not working hes on his way back to Cort for the 4th time looking at a felony this time and I'm hoping he only gets 5 yrs
so your going to need help!!!
you need to get in to inpatient long term and STAY IN then outpatient
i think the boot camp rehab,farm rehab work camp rehabs work best they keep you busy and focused on other stuff besides drugs you cant do it on your own youll need help and support

obviously you've tried you have to keep trying harder with all your heart
this is the path my sun and his friends are tacking
first you'll start stealing from family and friends you'll get caught and be arrested 3-4 5 times none violent crimes just a slap on the wrist then they get tired of you and slap you with a felony and through your ass in prison four 5-10 yrs (by then the monkey on your back is so strong theres almost no turning back and theres no cash or rehab in jail all you have is your ass to pedal sense getting high is more important than any thing else ....
you finally get out and with your new skills .... end up back in jail again and again) (the part in between ( ) is a educated guess from the people i know in prison it s the path most junkies take male or female) or you could end up like my friend from high school who tried on his own for about 10 yrs and failed and OD AND DIED he'll be mist as I'm sure you'll be mist also
so you have to deside wich path you want to take

Hey, i just discovered my fiance was a heroin addict and i've been doing some research. There is a new, not a drug, but a plant called ibogaine. If you really want help look into it. There is no withdrawal symptoms and it forces you to face your life after 30hrs of hallucinations (under supervision of a doctor). The plant is really potent you cannot do it on your own, if you take too much some people have died, and you cannot be on heroin for 24hrs (at least).
