All i can say right now is that methadone is a beautiful thing but only because i havent had to try and stop and its only my 3rd dose but i feel accually almost good

how long do yo have to do methadone before you get sick from it 5 days or so?

I have been on and off heroin for over 15 years now. I'm only 33, one thing I've learned though, is too stay away from the methadone. I was able to get off $250 of smack just on two doses of 20mls per day of methadone. I stayed clean for a whole nine days. Then unwanted friends came around and I got back into it. This time around I did it with the tiniest bit of sub tab. Its hard, cause Ive gone back to it a few times. Willpower!! Im here if you need to talk. Its 4:30am and I cant sleep.

Methadone has svaed my life. If it wasn't for methadone I'd be dead oir living on the streets stealing, begging and god knows what else to get money. I TRIED rehabs they didn't work for me. The damaged the endorphins in my brain and methadone helps with that. People who say bad thinhgs about methadone generally don't know alot abut it, or has a bad experience. Methadone saves lives!!!!!!

methadone is what im doing right now too. i started on 3 20mgs a day for the first 2 days, went down to 2 on day 3, yesterday was day 4 and i took 1. today is the first day with nothing. head feels weird still ( dizzy sort of like im in a tunnel and sleeping has been way way weird. no sickness...no pain....so far so good. depression....? yes. i have done it this way once before and you should be fine. just titrate carefully. methadone has a full day half-life. good luck. feel free to message me if u wanna chat more about this. k?

ps....depression/sucidal feelings is NORMAL for this kind of detox/ withdrawal. dont give up you are doing great G. I cry a lot and feel desperate to just go use just to feel ok too. what you are experiencing is totally normal. email me, k?

Methadone is just as addicting as heroin and can give you the same withdrawal symptoms. If you went to a clinic to get methadone, when you are ready, they will usually wean you off of it because the withdrawals are so severe. in some cases people have even died from withdrawal of methadone, not even heroin withdrawals can kill you, but they can make you extremely depressed and want to kill yourself. I wouldn't agree with taking methadone, I got off of heroin using suboxone and I still felt like crap but I was in a detox center. I would suggest finding someone positive and let them know what's going on so they can help you when you need it. Going through this alone is not fun and can be dangerous

I did heroin three or more times a day for 20 years and methadone scares the hell out of me. I did it for 3 days the last time I detoxed and that was plenty. I had a friend die in jail because they wouldn't give him his methadone. I was on it for a year and still shot dope. Don't exchange one addition for another. Withdraw is a bitch off heroin but its hell on wheels off methadone

P.S. I was doing 130 mg a day for a year
