" My most severe withdraws lasted about 10 days. I was using about $100-150 every day. When I used Suboxone I could never get high. Has he considered going to treatment? To get to the light there will be some uncomfortableness. Heroin is a pain in the butt to kick, and it will NOT kill him. Suboxone does help a lot!! Prayers are with you. "

" How long into withdrawel was he before he took suboxone? Sometimes if taken too early his w/d can be a lot worse and can become dehydrated if hes being sick a lot. Make sure he drinks a lot and call the doctor if it doesnt get any better. "

" My bf tried both Suboxone and Subutex.. He was on a pretty high dosage, and it was still pretty uncomfortable for him. Its his body trying to get adjusted from opiates to the synthetic opiates in the Suboxone.. From personal experience, I hated it when he was on it; granted it was much better than him using H. My only advice is make sure his dr. is watching him while he is on it. And to ween him off as soon as he starts feeling better. My boyfriend got addicted to Suboxone, and it was nearly impossible for him to get off it. Best wishes, and good luck "

" I am taking suboxone right now and it is wonderful for me cuz by the time i got on it i was almost completely off heroin and i really like them. not cuz of the opiates but because i can do things and not be so assed out all the time. but i agree you have to make sure his doctor is watching him. most docs dont give suboxone to heroin addicts who are using it for maintainace but they give methdone which is another story all together "
