Thanks for all the advice on my posting the other day. I go tomorrow for the dog and pony show about giving the shots and side effects.Meds should be here by wed or thur.Any ideas about what day I should give shot? Will be taking 5 pills a day due to my low weight.2-1-2?3-2?All 5 at once? The ol Texas 2 step! Also was anybody tired before treatment? My butt seems to be dragging the ground lately. And thats hard to do because I dont have much butt. Where oh where did that enegetic, hard charging young man go that I used to know so well? Sorry feeling a little pissed right now. Go figure. Anyway once again thanks for the opportunity to vent a little.Warm fuzzies to all

" now i dont go that warm n fuzzy shit dave, but your in for a ride. hcv or even liver disease dont directly cause fatigue believe it or not. its depression that saps your energy. a depressed brain is running on low voltage and the chemical conductors arent up to snuff. a depressed brain either has depleated adrenaline or unable to dispense the adrenaline. the shock of dx is enough to cause depression, agitation, and anxiety. then the damn meds are guaranteed to cause major chemical induced depression. the mental battle will be worse than the physical one. dont wanna scare you, but the mental sides may take years to recover from..good luck.. " I only take 4 a day, two in the morning two at night. Don't take all of them at the same time, seperate it by 12 hours. I would give yourself the shot later in the week when your less busy because the days after the show you'll be super tired. So if you usually don't do anything on saturday or sunday give yourself the shot friday or vice versa.

You may be tired due to stress too or if you've had the disease for awhile it can cause fatigue. "

" woops, sorry andrea, dave. i meant for him to realize that hes not doomed to a life with no energy because of hcv alone. the depression should be temporary but i really believe that it is the source of fatigue as opposed to hcv. "

" Yea, I agree with that cap, when your depressed you'll be exhausted and your body will constantly hurt. Good luck on your journey, keep us posted on how treatment goes dave! "

" Dave, you might plan to take your shot on the evening before your day or days off...if you have a day off. I worked Mon through Fri so I would take my shots on Friday night so that I had the weekend to "recover" a bit.

As far as the pills, I think most people take the 3 in the a.m. and the 2 in the pm so that the riba doesn't interfere with sleeping quite so much. I took 4 pills so I did 2 and 2. "

" yup, that too, andrea. depression amplifies body pain cause once again natural pain meds arent being dispensed. "
