" You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember, UNLESS it's almost time for your next dose. If it's nearly time for your next dose, SKIP the missed dose. I have an AM/PM pill box...as I take ribavirin 2x/day so I set up my box for the week every Sunday so I don't have to trust the dosing to memory. Pill boxes an inexpensive way to organize and manage your meds. In terms of the interferon, I take one injection every week. I take out my sharps container and set it on the kitchen counter before I go to bed the night before my shot. This way I have my visual reminder for the morning, "take your injection today". It's all about coming up with a system that works for your and sticking to it.

Good luck! "

" I have never skipped a dose but the other night I just couldn't choke down that last pill so I said screw it! Of course I had to take 4 the next morning so I can't imagine that doing much damage lol But of course I wouldn't make a habit of it, but missing one shouldn't be that bad. "

" Sid23 pretty much answered your question.

I just want to add, that the riba pills, should be taken 12 hours apart this way the sides are more stabilized.

So if a patient takes her riba at 7am, then should take the second dose at 7pm. "

" during treatment i forgot lots of things but never a dose of riba or interferon. i doubt you'll (your husband) forget cause it's the main thing in your life for an entire year. you'll forget your name, your kids names, where you live, where you parked your car, etc etc etc, but i bet you never forget to take the riba or injection. " I used the am/pm 7 day box and only missed pills when I ralphed them back up. Since I got a 30 day supply every 28 days I had replacement pills after the first month.

My opinion, if you're going to go through the hell of treatment, you might as well try to stay with the program the tests have proven to be the most sucessful. "
