My sister was in the hospital last weekend, they gave her two pints of blood, kept her overnight and sent her home. she had 0 white cells but then she felt good. they ordered Procrit which never arrived, and after fighting all week to get it they send her the wrong dosage. I live 4 hours away but i got her back int he hospital today. I was worried she would crash like last weekend. They admitted her immediatly upon seeing her white face. Have any of you gone through this? when she get the procrit will it really help? She and i both worry that she will be in an dout of the hospital for the next year. Tues is shot #12, we thought things would be 'ok' by now. I am out here in the wind. My father disowned me a week ago becaues of my support of my sister. My kids don't get it and I don't want to dump on my sister's daughter who is only 19. thanks for all the support. I couldn't do this without you. I have decided to move her up here with me asap. Prayers for all of you coming your way..

" You are doing the right thing for your sister! It boggles my mind how your father could feel that way.
Keep it up, she needs you. if your roles were reversed, she would be there for you.
Also, you are teaching your whole family about Christian love and doing the right thing. Good for you!! "

" Procrit is to increase the red blood cells, that is why she had transfusions as well. Not for her white blood count.
Does she talk to her doc regularly? She should have blood draws every week to keep an eye on both the red and white counts.
Get this doc involved.................. "

" The procrit will help her, I am glad to hear the doc is watching closely now. He needs to ----he is responsible for her sides.
As to whether or not to move her and change docs? I dunno.
She does need you --------keep up the good work "
