Anyone taking lexapro for anxiety or riba rage.............My doc prescribed it at the start of tx....but I held off. Now I am feeling like my fuse is a little too short and I am ready to tell lil ol ladies where they can go!! This is not my usual cheery self......I am ready to start the lexapro but I am afraid that it will make me spacy and I need to be able to work, which requires that I be able to think straight (however it also requires that I don't lose it on people)!
I just need some encouragement that this crap isn't gonna make me crazier! I read an online post which someone said it was like ecstacy....which would be pretty cool if I didn't have a training semeinar to conduct starting tomorrow!!! Absolutely, get started on it. Some anti-Ds do have side effects like extra dry mouth, diarrhea, etc. for some people but most people do well on them I doubt that it'll make your mood much difference in the short term so don't worry about your training seminar tomorrow.
Can your doc give you a few Xanax to get you through until the Lexapro kicks in? I used Xanax once in a while and it calmed me just enough and it did not affect my ability to work. You might ask about that. Hang in there...it's not going apeshit...this is just another bump in the road and you might find that you feel a ton better tomorrow. We're here and we won't let you go apeshit...lol

my doc prescribed lexapro, i took just one and was fuzzy headed, had a hard time thinking, almost like when you've had way way to much to drink ..... that feeling lasted from 7:30am until almost 1 in the after noon. i was at work and had a hard time handling it. I should have went home. but keep in mind any of those drugs that are for mood and take a week or so to get into you have all done the same thing to me. have tryed 5 different ones and they have all done the same thing messed with my head bad.

I need my lexapro.
With out, every thing seems worse. You can't get high on it, its for special people who are wired differently from others.

Looking back on TX, I am sure I should have been on anti d's. I am amazed that I did not lose my job or my relationship.

Mesadarlene, I agree with you...looking back I should have been on ADs when I was on TX. There were several times, usually on a Sunday - a day and a half after my shot - that my hubby heard me yelling something like: I HATE MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!" and then I'd burst into a crying fit. It was pretty scary for me and for him.

yeah, better start on the lexipro. i didn't hve any antidepressants but looking back i sure could have used some! maybe i wouldn't have yelled so much at other drivers on the road or yelled at my family and friends? at the time i just thought the world has gone nuts! didn't realize it was me!

I agree I have flipped the hell out many of times and I already had bad anxiety. One day in class I almost flipped out on this girl for giving me the wrong page to a book lol I was like wow, really?! But I just dealt with it, I'm a very stuborn person. See how do you do on it and then continue or not.
