I have been in so much pain, my dr. put me on Tramadol, and it does NOTHING! What are some meds you guys take that will not hurt our livers??? I have been over taking Vicoden and I know it's got Tylenol in it, so it HAS to be awful! But it really helps me to at least get to work! I'm so depressed! I don't have health insurance and can't find anyone to help.
Until I get some, I can't go to a Liver Specialist, can't afford it.
Suggestions? I can hardly get out of bed some days, I'm missing work, u all know how it is!
I'm very glad to have found this support group! Finally! people who understand! Thank the lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

" The pain could be in other places besides the liver, hcv affects people differently. Your shoulders can often hurt because there is a nerve ending from your liver to your right upper shoulder. Back pain is also common too.

I'm so glad the healthcare bill passed, its great when a well known organization such as www.hcvadvocate.org backs the new bill and how beneficial it'll be for hcv patients and research. "

" I agree cap, I wish people would realize why the insurers are so against Obama, insurance companies are big corporations which means big money of course their gonna be against any new bill that makes it more affordable to the American people to get healthcare. Its common sense and when AARP and organizations such as HCV advocate say how beneficial this bill will be for so many Americans it makes sense. I think people are just scared of change and those who hate the bill the most, haven't even read it. "

" I had to have my appendix out while on the treatment. They sent me home with the morphine. I didn't have to take it but for a day or two, so I don't know how it would affect you long term. Your dr and even your pharmacist could probably give you some good advice, along with everyone here. As per insurance, yuck! "
