Okay, I ate about an hour ago and I was lucky to even get that down and now it's time to take my pills, but nothing is working!! I barely and I mean barely managed to get down two pills, I have one more to go but I'm gagging on everything. Can I just open up the pill and put it in some milk and drink it? I mean can i put it on my tongue and then drink milk? Does it taste nasty? I've already wasted two pills trying to get this shit down my throat.
I need advice and I need it now. Posted on 11/03/09, 10:11 pm |

Cara, dear. Be a big girl. You can drink almost anything but a martini with your pills....... applesauce.... milk..... water..... malted ....
Whatever it takes. All pills taste a little nasty. But my blue ribas are coated with blue stuff to make them smooth to go down. Psych up girl. You can do it.

Don't do it until you check with a pharmacist. Some meds cannot be taken that way because of how they dissolve. I'm not sure about the Riba.

my pills sound different than yours. they are small, coated and you can't open them up. they are easy to swallow-could you ask you dr. if their is an alternative type of pill for next time?

I am glad you managed it, Cara. Vik has an excellent idea, go with it. Ask your doc about a different brand of riba. My pills are small, no bittger than an asprin. You need a different brand.
Good luck! Hooah!

Definitely don't alter your pills (by cutting or opening them) unless you check with the pharmacy. And, as others have said, there are different types of riba pills -- mine were only the size of aspirin.

My pills started off oblong and were replaced by small round. Not sure about capsules.
The advice to call the pharmacy is best. Is this your 1st bottle? Have you confirmed the content matcheds the label? Anyone else have capsules instead of pills?
