But November is here. I have been avoiding this site and Hep C in general, for six weeks. However, I have an appointment in San Antonio on Nov 5th to see if there are any trials I might participate in and then a week later I go to see a specialist in Houston. Half of me wants to just cancel these appointments and just let it ride, the other half wants the dragon dead. I DONT want to do more TX and have it not work again, and I DONT want to not do a TX that would work...so...:)
Hope you are all having a good weekend. The weather here in Houston is glorious! God bless, Rob Posted on 10/31/09, 10:10 pm |

well rob, ya wanna kill that virus cause liver disease will sap your energy level . it takes energy to persue our dreams. energy is a very valuable commodity. ill definately tx again when its offered. being an old man is pretty cool. were like walking encyclopedias of knowlege that incidently no-one is the least interested in. and senility, well it dont get better than that..

Good morning,
As a non responder, I understand your dilemma. Physically, I couldn't go through the standard tx again. If they can find something for non responders and shorten the duration, ok I'll try. You know I went into a tx trial with all the positive thinking, personal best health, and faith that anyone could muster. Also I have a 250 mile round trip to the liver research center. However if the opportunity arose, & it was offered to me, I'd have to talk with others & pray about it & follow suggestion of my most trusted supporters. Meanwhile I live the best I can with gratitude every day. If you begin, you do not have to follow through with it. You know you will be guided. I'll be thinking of you, please keep us posted.

Don't cancel the appts unless you have prayed on it and feels that is what God wants you to do. You must let Him guide you in this.

i have serious reservations about another tx also, but the human is a most resilient animal where our mortality is concerned. getting old while having never matured is such an interesting phenomenon. its like being in the 6th grade at 20 yrs old, ahead of our time. :)>

Hi Rob, your neighbor here. I know you will pray on this alot because it might work this time using other drugs. You are going to see Dr. G soon and I know he's one of the best in country so don't feel defeated, I know you will get some good news. I'm praying for you.

Rob, it's a tough road... I've been there myself. I took a year off after the relapse and was thankful to get on a trial. The Capn said it right, we are resilient and it's amazing what we can handle when we have to. Our days are numbered and it's more a matter of working with what you're given and being thankful for the blessings. I hope you do get on a trial... but the right trial at the right time. God bless, J
