Interferon is usually is 180 mg per week for most . But they can raise it a bit or lower it a bit if needed. But the 180 mg is standard to start with for most.
Now on the vl, that doesn't mean so much as for tx, it just doesn't correlate like you think it would. Now, i personally believe that a higher viral load you have , then the more chance the virus has had to replicate. I have what is considered a high viral load , and I think it was able to creep up because i wasn't taking care of myself. It seems to me that those that take care of themselves( i.e. don't drink, watch what they eat, etc) seem to have a lower viral load. But like anything with HCV, everyone is different and what is true of most might not be true for all. But don't worry , that viral load isn't going to mean much as far as tx. I mean your body is going to kill it or it isn't. A higher viral load isn't going to matter if it is effective on your body or not. it is just the luck of the draw! *These are just my personal opinions from the hours and hours of reading personal stories and research. Imean I definitely could be wrong. I'm just saying this seems to be what I keep seeing from what i read.
