i'm going to have surgery in the next two weeks and i read something about pre op heparin..does anyone know what effect heparin has on the liver..i have hep c but the surgery is unrelated but worried about what meds they use

Gastrointestinal conditions: People with ulcerative colitis or tubes draining the stomach or small intestine should not use heparin unless the benefits clearly outweigh the risks.
