Question about Infergen?

I am currently on the Pegasus interferon treatment however I am not responding so I am going to start the daily shots of this other stronger treatment. I was told my chances of it working are not that good being I am a "non-responder". Has anyone out there done this treatment and if so how sick did you get? My doc told me that the side effects are more than the weekly shot treatment. Thank You for your help. I am new to this site so I hope this gets posted!!!

You poor little thing...I feel for you sweetie. I have not experienced this as I am only on weekly shot #6 and will not know until week #12 if I am responding.Hopefully Jean someone else here has experince with your issue and can answer your questions. I have done 3 TX's, My last one was infergen, Everyday injections with 1400mgs of Riba's, It sucked so bad! I dont want you to get discouraged about it though ok? Im chronic HCV but must fight on

I have a friend that was a non-responder and DID clear with the infergen..he's not on this board but he would be happy to assist..do you have a myspace account? good luck honey..tx doesn't work for everyone but your are giving it all you can to clear the virus..my hats off to you!

my first two weeks wer the worst . Weak flu like . This week on my third shot not too bad , alitle tired. I take my shot on tuesday and by friday I feel great.

Thank You to everyone who wrote back about Infergen. I am new to this board and am not that good on computers so I don't know yet how this works. I am suppose to start this daily shoot treatment as soon as my doc finds out if he can get the extra shots from the drug company as they will only pay for 12 per month! My doc said the side effects are worse so I am kind of scared since the side effects of this weekly shot are not fun!!! Special thanks to Mckenzie for all those links.
