I can testify to that. They tried every trick in the book to get me to wait another 2 years, even going so far as to say that it was their recommendation for the sake of my health that I should wait and that was after already waiting almost a year because I was 'not a priority' ... what tripe.

The main reason I'm not a priority is because I've lived a fairly clean lifestyle for the past 20 years. I have two friends who are dead from this disease because they wouldn't or couldn't stop drinking or drugging. And my nephew died in treatment about 4 years ago from side-effect complications. This disease kills people- never let them forget that.

Our health is best served by killing the HCV inside us as soon as possible.

Appeal, appeal & appeal again.

Thanks for the link hepcme. To add to this morenew treatments are just around the corner. Just like the AIDS cocktail, 20 years ago, better, safer, faster CHEAPER drugs are coming.
I suspect payers are doing their best to defer coverage until the price goes down, which will happen; just like the AIDS cocktail.

my pleasure Kramer as always. it is tough to think about the direct and indirect damage and suffering hepc virus is causing to folks while they hang on and wait even soon it should be the holding it together is painful distracting confusing and demoralizing
