After-noon Everyone,
I have now hit a new low!! While I was at work this morning I peed my PANTS. Not just a dribble but a full on release. Been having some bladder problems for the last couple of months but didn't think to much of it. Woke up about 4 times last night and had to pee so bad nearly didn't make it to the bathroom (many of other nights I haven't made it) had some pressure but not alot of pain that usually goes along with a bladder infection. I know in the past though that it can start off like that and then within hours it's a full on infection. So needless to say I had to get my husband to pick me up at work and first take me home to change clothes and then off to the dr. They did a urine test and didn't see any infection but said they would send to the lab for further testing. They also have now tested me for diabeties!!!! Not happy!!! If that comes back negative I will have to go to a incontinence clinic and to some testing. I spoke to my hep nurse and apparently this is not related to the meds. I am totally stressed and not to mention humiliated.. While is was in the bathroom at work crying my eyes out my boss (who is also suppose to be my best friend) had the nerve to ask me why I was so upset and said well at least it's not lung cancer. If I could have reached out of the stall I probably would have punched her in the face. I haven't felt this lonely, depressed and scared in along time. I don't really have a question just needed to get this off my chest. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Debbie

" I'm so sorry for this latest crappy experience you went through. I hope it gets figured out soon.

After reading over a couple of times what your boss said, it sounds like it could be her embarrased, awkward way to try to make you feel better. She probably didn't mean it in a mean way. That's only my take on it, but I wasn't there. "

" Bestshot, this treatment can really wreak havoc with your ego. We have a really long thread going about a month ago talking about uncontrolled diarrhea.

I like PB's hypothesis about muscle control. Try doing kegels and wear pads until the problem resolves. If it doesn't you might need to see a urologist.

And your boss/friend was possibly trying to help you keep this in perspective, but sometimes we just want empathy. Thre is always someone who has it worse, but that doesn't mean that your problems are irrelevant.

Hang in there, Nancy "

" Aw Bestshot- I'm sorry you had such a terrible day... I wonder if it COULD be the anti's, combined with your blood pressure diuretic, and all the FREAKING water we have to drink??
I've had times where the "urge" sneaks up on me- so glad I work right across the hall from the bathroom... I've had a few near misses.... ((HUGS)) I hope your day gets better! "

" what a nightmare, I feel for you. Wish I could offer some sort of info but I am just a newbie with not much experience. I hope it can be sorted out soon too. I'm sure you would know if anything remotely similar had happened in the past to indicate a seperate condition, I hate that BS, stay strong there will be a reason for this, and try to go easy on your friend she may not have the right approach at the time but its good to have allie's at work. tee hee, wish I could punch people in the face that say that stuff too :-) "

" I'm so sorry that happened Best, and at work no less. (((((BIG HUG )))))))))))
I had something simular happen one night after the second week of being on tx with Incevik. It was like I woke up, and I really didn't have the normal urge to go, but I could tell that my bladder was SUPER full and hard feeling even, so off to the bathroom I ran. I didn't quite make it, not a gusher or anything, but I had to change my underwear! The odd thing was the no warning of the urge to go.

So........my guess it is the Incevik like PB is suggesting and once you finish that, that will be gone as well. hey, one thing I know about being on this is that there is no dignity. Stuff happens and you have to be one strong person to make it through. And you're doin' it! =)

As far as your boss....some people say the stupidest things when they feel so bad for you that they don't know what to say. I bet she's beating her self up right now going " Why the hell did I say that? I'm an idiot! How fricking stupid I am!" and I bet she apologizes to you too.

Don't worry. It will all be over soon and you'll be better than new! "
