beginning treatment, what is the one question that you would want the answer to, or the one thing you wish you'd known beforehand?

" Hi, kathy56. I just asked the ole'man (I'm support spouse). He said drink water even if you never did before and keep on drinking it every day. Drink it even if you hate it. I see the difference it made in him and I agree. Good luck, girlfriend! "

" Don't let the treatment control you, You control the treatment.

This was the problem with me, I felt sick, I stayed in bed 24 hours a day, thinking it would be better the next day, but it wasn't in fact it got worst and worst.

Which only meant that the meds were doing it's job with this very hard virus to kill.

What I should have done is, yes listen to my body, take a nap a day, but still push myself to continue to the best of my ability to do things on my agenda.

So try to keep as active as you can possibily can, exercise if possible, and as skeeter says, drink loads of water.

The best of luck on your battle with the dragon, and may you win the war.

" I wish I had known how important it is to stay active, to do some sort of exercise.

I exercised all the time before tx, but I let the fatigue win, so I did much more sitting around instead of moving around.

I don't care if it's just a walk around the block, I'd recommend everyone to move. "

" Hi Kathy and welcome to DS. I don't know what to say in regards to your question. If I had a crystal ball and saw what tx did to me, I don't know if i would have went on tx. I am really glad that I did though. Even though it is rough, the medicine is working so far. My viral load went from 6 million to undetectable. I am in week 26 of a 48 week treatment "
