What do you do when your doctors office calls and says you have hep C.Two weeks later I see him and he says he didnt even test me for it!?! I got this information Tuesday at my follow up after being prescribed' at my request ' for campral. I'm greatly relieved but still pissed. He said he took responsibility as it was his staff that called me. Do I write a letter to the practice? This should not happen to anyone!

" It could have been a false positive so maybe they called you before they should have. Did you have blood tests done at all? "

" sorry to hear about the mess. how awful that the office called and told you this!

you probably need to be tested for hep C anyway. just to be sure especially if your enzymes are elevated? maybe you just have the antibodies to hep C which means your body cleared the virus all on it's own when you first got it.

keep us posted as to what happens, ok? "
