Advice:
Extreme Headaches

Last night I did my third shot and about 4 hours later, my head started to hurt. Then all of the sudden, blam! My head felt like it was going to split apart and my brains were going to melt. It was the worst headache I have ever had in my life, I cried for atleast an hour and managed to choke down my pills along with a 800 mg Ibuprophen while my bf lay next to me on the bed. It was awful and I just haven't heard about this being one of the side effects of the shot. I thought the pills could make your head hurt and have even had mild headaches since tx started but nothing like this.

Other than the headache last night, I feel pretty good, well, besides the roommate problem. Which will be remedied on the first of December!!!

" I had this too during the first couple shots. At times it hurt to stand up...so I crawled from room to room and I would sleep on the floor, because when the bed moved it hurt my head. I've never had migraines, but this was an unreal level of head pain. My doc told me to take Ibuprofen for the 24-48 hours after the shot and this has helped. Also it seems to get better every week. Hang in there Cara! "

" I had bad headaches but they would always be the day after the shot when I woke up the following morning. MandL doesn't get on here as much anymore, but she use to get horrible headaches like crazy. What I would do is take the ibruprofen before you take the shot like an hour before, that helps alot. "

" I had them like that..........nothing would help............doc said maybe migraine, meds were terrible, did nothing.
Ibuprophen regularly, initially I had them for 3 wks, now rarely. Good luck. Can try ice on back of neck and head, stay in dark room, no bright lights. "

" I still get them Cara but all of August was terrible. I have migraines and take Feoricet, I don't know if I spelled that right but just to be on the safe side I take Ibuprofen before my shot. It seems to help. "
