Hey Jwalsh.....Ptriss said once about bleach killing the virus.....maybe she should soak them in bleach?? Now I don't know about what that might do to the earring itself......as bear's don't wear earrings..........another thing she "could" to (to be on the safe side) is quit wearing them?

I use alcohol....but I don't share earrings, and my ears don't bleed.....yes, like Tincup...peroxide or alcohol....and I'm sure jewelry stores will have some kind of cleaner. Precious stones, and semi precious should be cleaned with extra care. As with silver, you want a special cleaner for sterling.

I use perioxide.
