If you take your shot one day, how long, if theres any sort of average, can I expect before side affects end? Has anyone been able to use this information to schedule their work week?

Also, do folks find the side affects to be stronger with initial shots or does it get tougher as you go, 2nd - 3rd - 4th . . . and so on? I know everyones different, but . . .

" I'm on shot ten, and it's my worse. I'm sooooo tired, I feel like I can't get enough sleep. Until now, it's been very minimal. Good luck to you. It's different with everyone. Usually sides last 48 hours. Like the flu. I don't work, but I do my shots on Sat...usually by Tuesday I'm feeling great. "

" I have found the most common is you will be okay for the first couple weeks, crash for a couple weeks, and then get back on track. Like you may have heard it is a roller coaster and it is so hard what to expect but I would plan on not planning anything too heavy. now I have 6 more months of fun. "

once the Meds for the thyroin started to work thing got better
The sided would last about 3 days ( tier, weak and soar )

" It is such an individual experience that what happens to me does not mean you will live through the hell I have during TX. As far as myself I do the shot Friday night and now I am dead tired until Monday or Tuesday. In the beginning I only was tired Saturday. I am getting more headaches now and more short of breath now. The ringing in my ears is constant and I have enough energy to go to the doctor's office or the grocery store or ride on my lawn mower to cut the yard but , beyond that I start getting nausea that really sucks. I have one more shot to go , so I have gotten worse as time has gone on with the TX.The Ribavirin is accumulative in your body and actually will not be out of your body for six months after you quit taking the poison. BUT , you may skate through the TX after awhile as many people have done. I hope you have nominal sides.... "

" I take my shots on Friday night at about 6 pm after I get home from work for the week. Then I'm back to work on Monday morning. Works for me.

I do, however, find that Tues and/or Wed can be very tired days for me some weeks but weekends are definitely when I need my rest after the Friday night shot. "

" The other thing I can suggest if at all possible keep your stress levels down. I am going through a bunch of different things in my life at this moment and I am really stressed out and I feel 10 times worse than I should.I have only 2 more weeks so I will get through the TX. Keep a positive attitude and keep stress to a minimum and I do know it is easier said than done because things in life happen that we do not count on happening and we have to deal with the problems. I am not a good example right at the moment so do as I say not as I am doing kind of suggestion.....Good Luck "

" Like you said , everybodys a little bit different. Shots on Fri. Sat, Sun, and Monday were my lazys days. Just felt tired all the time . I didn't get flu like symptons untill week 7 but they kicked my but for the next two weeks. Now that I'm on shot 12of my 24 weeks of TX its been no problem again . Just tired for the weekends.
Remember to stay positive about your TX that you are kicking the Dragons ass with them ! Drink lots of water ( very Important ) half your body weight in oz is what is suggested. I drink 150 oz's a day... GLUB GLUB thats almost 5 quarts !! "

" For me it was like a roller coaster. Some weeks worse than others. I usually felt more pain two days after my shot.

My first shot hit me the first day. Some weeks it wasn't so bad and other weeks felt a lot of pain.

I just did my last shot (week 24) and two days later had a lot of pain so for me it didn't get better. (but worth it!)

I was almost always tired but did seem to sometimes get a boost the day of my shot. I did my shots on Friday mornings.

You can always adjust your shot day to fit your schedule once you know how your body is going to react. "
