My injection site is still pink, a whole week after shot 1. Is this normal? I'm calling doc now to check, but I want to know what the site should look like. Ultimately, you guys are more helpful than he is :)

" haha i did the same thing as you because my packet from "be in charge" said that if that happens to contact your doctor immediately and then when I did she said it was normal. Something that helps me is to inject the shot slowly, apply the bandaid and then rub the area so that the interferon doesn't pocket in that spot causing redness, and eventually bruising. A diabetic actually told me that handy advice, and it works! "

" Rubbing the area with a clean ice cube before the injection seems to help too. "

" LOL, many "report immediately" symptoms are normal, but we do the right thing & report.
I don't have after rings or patches, it may be a skin type issue, or I'm just insensitive. "

" the bruise from my first shot lasted 5 weeks, the bruise from my second shot did too
by the third shot i learned how not to leave a bruise, but still had a reddish spot for several weeks

unless it looks like a blood blister or something under the skin i wouldn't worry about it, but you were right to call & check! "
