About to start treatment...it means for me, I could be potentially done with this but I don't want to not hang out with friends (drink). Sounds stupid but I'm not looking forward to it. I did it when I was pregnant and have a beautiful healthy baby girl. I want to continue on with my life and want all of this to be done with. I am the type that treatment works well so I'm doing it but I'm scared, definitely feeling lonely.

" welcome
so I guess you are doing 24 week of TX (treatment )
Type 1 48 week 46% chance type 2 and type 3 24 week 70% chance
Know how you feel. No one to talk to about this except
the doctor and family. and no one know how you feel
while in TX not even the doctor some time I wish doctor
would take what they give so they would know.
don't be scared it just like having the flu .
But if you had the flu for 24 week it could make you pretty
miserable and sick.
best of luck "

" Well, don't think about drinking...but go out and have fun with your friends.

Scared is a common side effect of beginning tx. It will go away in time.

There are a whole bunch of us here, that will be here for you. ~Becky "

" Nice to meet you.
Parenting usually alters social life anyway. You may need all your energy to care for the wee one. If you want to be around & in good health to care for her, the alcohol needs to go. With hcv every drink is destroying the liver while you feel fine & think nothing's wrong. Fortunately, you've been diagnosed & have an opportunity to kill the virus. Alcohol on tx is forbidden.
You need to get out. Your friends who care about you won't let you drink if they understand its a poison to you. You won't be on tx forever.
Best wishes for success, and hug that lil one. "
