Is anyone has similar story to this? right now i am very happy and hopefully he will get rid off the virus and develop its own antibody, that was the doctor said to us everytime we go see him.
My 8 year old son started lamivudine at age 3 for 3 years,after 3 years he was zero viral load for 1 year, but after 1 year it came back 300 copies, then 600 and then 900 copies but still the doctor said there is still hope and it takes time that his body will develop its own antibodies. But now...I received an email from my son's hepatologist/ specialist and it stated that his lab results came back all within normal limits, HBV DNA totally undetectable and HBsAg non-reactive. However the doctor is out of town this week and we will talk about the significance of this result next week when he gets back. Thank God! Posted on 08/22/09, 12:08 am |

well thats good! :) I am very happy for you and for your son. It also give me a hope to get rid this virus. I am on the same medication for 3 years now. Im taking Lamivudine also. :)
