Hey all , i'm new to this board and just wanted to know how long the treatment for baraclude is on average. My specialist told me i'd be on it for a year and taken off if the results were good. Is there anyone else who has had similar experiences? And also i apologize if there is already an existing question like this.

" Hey dshin, I have been on baraclude since february of 2009 and that is the answer my Gastro dr told me. About a year. But have read where others stay on for a 18 months to 2 years... my next appointment is in october. Baraclude works very slowly... with few or no side effects.. "

" im told baraclude stops the virus from replicating but does not clear it. i have been on baraclude for 1 and a half years. i stopped the pill for 15 days and my hbv dna went back to positive! i had tested negative for a year. the hep can hide, then reappear. so besides the baraclude im looking for ways to bolster my immune system. " I am a strong believer in a combination of holistic and western medicine, I am not spamming nor do I make any kind of "profit" by mentioning this, I am just putting in this disclaimer cause I get a lot of flack on Craigs List..................LOL

google holistic medicne and do some research, i have been using Life Extension foundation, you can call them and they have very knowledgeable people you can talk to that will tell what you need to be taking for boosting etc., problem is, in todays economy none of this is covered and VERY controversial to many.
