This is noteworthy and was published in the Dec 20th issue of the New England Journal of Medicine and here is a summary: 1) For patients with chronic hepatitis B who are positive for the hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg), telbivudine (Tyzeka) achieves a higher 1-year response rate than lamivudine (Epivir) 2) Both groups were treated for 1 year at 75% of pts receiving Tyzeka had a complete response vs 65% for Epivir.
