" in your profile you say hepatitis C and not B, do you have B or C or Both, as for hepatitis B the best test for the detection of cleared virus is the PCR Poly-Chain-Reaction for the virus DNA as this is the most sensitive, if the PCR is negative you have a 95% chance of being viral negative as the virus does not normally travel through the blood and stays in the liver tissue, the only way to really test for negative hepatitis B is biopsy and at least two negatives for the results to really say you are negative, any hepatitis B be-antigen or anti-body detected would indicate a current infection as these should be negative if the viral core has not mutated as this is common for the long term carrier to be Alsim negative and still carrier of the viral, as for Hepatitis C- it's a long drug therapy and good luck with the therapy, in short each of the types of antibodies can only live for hours or days and months, the type of antibody detected tells if the infection is still current, IGM IGA IGD IGG IGE the five types are different in their live span, living for diffent times, if the short lived is present the infection is still current and the longer living are the vaccine types produced from the infection or vaccination and both and live for years after the induction into the body. you will always be positive for the vaccine types but should not have the Hepatitis B be antibody as this is the kidney clearance antibody and is very short lived in the body= days and hours in the life span and only continually produced along with an infection.
