Roche Patient Assistance Foundation
Roche is a pioneer in providing our drugs, free, to patients who lack prescription coverage and the means to pay for the medications they need. In fact, the Roche Patient Assistance Program was one of the first in the industry, setting the standard for assisting patients in need since the early 1960´s. Since 2000, the Roche Patient Assistance Foundation has provided free Roche products to patients in need valued at more than $991 million (based on Wholesale Acquisition Cost or list price). This includes products provided through generous programs to support Boniva® (ibandronate sodium), Fuzeon® (enfuvirtide), Pegasys® (peginterferon alfa-2a), Xeloda® (capecitabine), CellCept® (mycophenolate mofetil), and other Roche products. Roche does not charge a co-payment and does not limit the time a patient may receive free drug. To learn more about the Roche Patient Assistance Foundation and our individual product programs, call our toll-free number 1-877-75ROCHE (877-757-6243). Yes, they are very good about helping folks. Great post Makiah! If it wasn't for them waiving my cost, I wouldn't be able to do my tx. I know they get governmental support for doing this, but that is not the only reason they do it. Roche goes above and beyond, just doing it for money and tax breaks. In my experience it seems they really care.
(lol or they do a very good job of faking it) JJ, if you call that number they will more than likely send you out an application, and be able to tell you if you would qualify or not. You might be very well surprised by how many people they help with some form of insurance like me and you. Since there is no generic, my insurance would not cover my medicine for tx. That allowed for Roche to help me out , even though I have insurance. A lot of it really has to do with how much you earned the previous year. ( or you could use this year..... they will let you use which ever year you made the less in as a basis of your income.) You don't have to be totally broke, and you are allowed to make so much money and still qualify. Either way, I'd give it a shot if I was you. You never know until you try/ask!

I just wanted to add the number for Shering -Plough.
Commitment To Care ( 1800-521-7157 ) and here is their link : http://www.schering-plough.com/pro... I applied for both just to be safe. I would suggest doing the same. Plus, it gave me the choice between the two, which will ultimately be up to you and your Doctor to decide! Good luck and the process it actually very easy!

Programs like that are very cool. True, they must get tax breaks, government incentives, etc but still, cool.

I called Roche because we have such a high deductible cause i was seeking some help. They refused me because i made to much money. So i basically had to tell them i needed a payment plan because this medicine even with insurance becomes expensive quick.

Marty, what did they say abut the payment plan?
I have yet to find out how much my co pay will be. Everytime I ask my insurance co they won't give me a straight answer.

Actually my insurance covered everything except the deductible and caremark is billing at will just as if i was paying for the medicine. So it explains when they were 3 months behind they sent me a bill for 1232.56 which i paid. 3 weeks later i was billed for another 800 and i was due for another order of meds which they were hesitant to mail out. i told them at the point i could not afford to make those kind of payments. There is no payment plan set in stone as of yet. I will just call and tell them what i am sending. Then the fight starts all over.
